Walk Through Wonder Whale

Get ready to be amazed at the colossal size and magnitude of the gray whale!

This enormous whale is swimming through Rock, Walworth, and Racine Counties and will stop to greet her friends at SIX different locations!  (See Below)

Walk inside a 56-foot inflatable whale and discover the incredible world of whales.  Explore whale bones and dinosaur and ice age mammal fossils, too!

This program typically draws about 500 people throughout the day.  Please be prepared to wait your turn to walk through the whale.

Recurring Events

Almost every Wednesday afternoon, we have a special treat for Lego fans here at the Library – a Lego Building Club.  We provide the Legos, both standard size and Duplo, and our builders provide the imagination.

This is a drop-in, no registration required, program, so just come on by.

Join Ms. Maria on the second Saturday of each month for a creative project!

Registration opens four weeks before each. program. Online registration can be found under the events tab on our website.  Registration deadline is the Monday before each program.

Twenty seats are available for children or adults.

Geared toward 4th – 6th graders, this Book Club meets the third Monday each month at 3:30 pm.  Join Miss Maria on March 16 for a snack and an activity relating to this month’s book, “The Magician’s Elephant” by Kate DiCamillo.

Copies of the book are available for checkout at the Library.  No pre-registration required.

Children 18 months through 4 years of age are invited to join us on Friday mornings at 11:00 a.m.  (Saturday storytime without crafts will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th  Saturdays of the month.)
