March Preschool Storytime

Our Preschool Storytimes are scheduled for Fridays at 11:00 a.m.  Preschool storytime is geared towards children ages 18 months to 4 years of age, although younger and older siblings and friends are always welcome to participate.  It is a great way to introduce young children to an age-appropriate "school" environment, and all the skills that help young children function in such an environment, such as sharing with others.  It is also a great way to encourage pre-literacy skills such as "print motivation" (thinking that books and reading are fun) and "print awareness" (recognizing print and understanding how books work). 

Due to current attendance limitations, reservations are recommended.  Should we have more interested than we can accomodate, an additional Storytime session may be held.   Here is March's line-up:


March 5
Read:  "Max Counts His Chickens" by Rosemary Wells
Find:  10 hidden "Peeps" at the Library

March 12
Read:  
"How to Catch the Easter Bunny" by Adam Wallace
Make:   a bunny mask

March 19
Read:  "The Easter Egg" by Jan Brett
Decorate:  some Easter Eggs

March 26
Read:  "Easter Parade" by Jo Ryan
            Join:  the Easter Bunny for an "Eggcellent" Easter Party.
            Bunny Ears are not required, but would be appreciated!!!
